Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches for Two
Making your favorite fast-food breakfast sandwich has never been easier! Bake frozen biscuits while you prepare the eggs and sausage, and in 40 minutes, you’ll have a breakfast that’s miles better than any drive-thru option. Here's how to make a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich that's sure to brighten your morning.
Ingredients
2 biscuits from 1 bag (25 oz) frozen Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Buttermilk Biscuits (12 Count)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon butter
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (1 oz)
2 fully cooked patties, heated as directed on package
Instructions
Heat oven to 375°F. Bake biscuits as directed on bag.
Meanwhile, in small bowl, beat eggs thoroughly with fork or whisk until well mixed. In 8-inch nonstick skillet, heat butter over medium heat just until butter begins to sizzle. Add beaten eggs; quickly begin stirring constantly. As eggs begin to thicken, stop stirring and cook an additional 30 to 60 seconds or until eggs are set. Fold eggs in half; turn off heat. Top eggs with shredded cheese; cover and let stand about 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Cut eggs in half.
To serve, split warm biscuits; top bottom half of each with egg and sausage. Cover with top halves of biscuits.
Pillsbury Tips:
Tip 1. To save time, start making the filling as the biscuits are almost finished baking so you are ready to assemble your sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches once the biscuits are baked.
Tip 2. If desired, top your sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with a slice of cheddar or American cheese in place of shredded cheese.
Tip 3. Use your favorite cooked breakfast sausage patty for this sausage, egg and cheese sandwich recipe.
